100% recycled polyolefin pellets (+10 PPH additives) extracted from “impossible-to-recycle” plastic waste for moulding purposes.

rPOLY100 contains a combination of Polyethylenes (PE) and Polypropylenes (PP) extracted from post- consumer “impossible-to-recycle” metallised multi-layered plastic packaging (MLP) such as packets of chips, chocolate wrappers, etc. Its unique combination of strength and flexibility allows it to have a range of applications. And most importantly, it’s probably the most sustainable material out there – both environmentally and socially.

  • % Recycled Content: 100% extracted out of “impossible-to-recycle” post-consumer metalized multi-layered plastic packaging (MLP) (+10 PPH in compatibilizers and additives, NO conventional virgin plastic is added to the blend). Less than 1% of this MLP waste is recycled globally, and 80% of all ocean leakage from land is flexible packaging like this.
  • Social Sustainability: In India, there are 1.5-4 million waste-pickers who live multi-dimensionally poor lives in India. Our recycling process is built in such a way that 50-75% of it can be done by former waste-pickers. We train and formalise them into our supply chains, giving them dignified jobs while increasing their income by an average of 2x. We also provide benefits like flexible pay and health insurance.
  • Material Recyclability and End-of-Life: This material can be recycled by conventional recyclers in either the polyethylene or polypropylene recycling streams. The material incorporates compatibilizers and has a high level of purity which allows for easy recycling in either stream.


This material is specifically formulated for moulding processes such as injection moulding and compression moulding.

  • Lower Carbon Footprint: The carbon footprint of manufacturing rPoly100 is lower than virgin plastic with an estimated 2-3 tons of CO2 saved for each ton of rPoly100 produced.
  • Sourced Locally: This is post-consumer waste sourced locally, further reducing the carbon footprint of transportation and time-related spoilage of waste.
  • Lightweight: Easier for transportation and for applications that require lightness.
  • Float-ability: rPoly100 floats in almost all types of water (river, sea, home, industrial).
  • Colours: Currently available in two colours – charcoal black and olive green-grey.


The combination of flexibility and strength allows this material to have a wide range of applications, especially with varying thickness. Here are some potential applications:

    The high impact resistance and high elongation at break makes it suitable for manufacturing goods which are durable and can withstand some rough usage

  • Footwear

    This material can be used for flip-flops, soles and outer layers of shoes given its moderate hardness and high elongation at break which can provide good cushioning

  • Furniture

    The high elongation at break and good impact resistance would make the material suitable for furniture and related products that requires durability and resilience

  • Pet Products

    The high impact resistance and elongation at break would be advantageous for manufacturing pet toys that can withstand biting and pulling forces. Can also be used to construct parts of pet houses which do not require extremely high rigidity

  • Sports Equipment

    The high impact resistance makes it suitable for use in protective gear like helmet shells and protective pads. It can also be used for Yoga blocks, foam rollers and playground equipment offering durability and resilience.

  • Clothing & Accessories

    It can be used for manufacturing fasteners, buttons, or other components of clothing and accessories. Can also be used in making buckles for belts, bags, etc., where moderate hardness is required.

  • Art Supplies

    It can be used in the manufacturing of frames and mouldings for art pieces, providing good impact resistance and moderate hardness.

  • Household Products

    The high elongation at break and moderate hardness can be beneficial in making household products like laundry baskets, storage containers and waste bins which require some flexibility.

  • Storage Containers

    The material is suitable for making storage containers due to its moderate hardness and good impact resistance.

    Interior components like storage bins and non-structural bumper components that don't require extremely high strength but benefit from good impact resistance and high elongation at break.

  • Construction Components

    The high elongation at break suggests that it can be used in the manufacturing of pipes or conduits which require a good degree of flexibility. Can also be used in making non-structural components, such as panels, given its moderate tensile and flexural strength.

  • Returnable Transport Packaging (RTP)

    Can be used to make durable transport packaging which needs to withstand impacts and stresses during transportation.

  • Bottle Caps / Tops

    Can be used to make a wide variety of caps for large bottles and containers, especially with the flexibility that it offers.

  • Urban Infrastructure

    Its properties allow it to be used in manufacturing traffic safety products like bollards or traffic cones, which benefit from good impact resistance.

Materials are available in pellet form in bags/batches of 5 kgs with maximum order size of 100 kgs. Lead time is 4-8 weeks depending on quantity and location.
