Our why, our values, our guiding principles and our mission are absolute pillars in our journey to make deep, meaningful impact. We have just launched a new brand and our first product, and are trying to build on that.

Right now, we are a small but passionate team, so our work culture is evolving as we speak. We don’t believe in hierarchy and are attempting to build an environment of self-management.

    We are outcome-focused. By that we mean it doesn’t really matter how many hours you work, it’s what you do with those hours that matters. Work hours are flexible. Our outcomes, not as much.

Who Would Be A Good Fit?

We are looking for a key colleague. Someone who wants to build something bigger than themselves, while championing our credo of balanced intensity.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a fresher or entry-level candidate (less than a year of experience) with a Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or mechanical engineering.
  • Has a strong understanding of the design process, common materials and manufacturing. Preference is to have experience in the following software – Creo, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Blender, Keyshot(Bonus)
  • Has excellent problem-solving skills and strong verbal and visual communications skills and ability to communicate design ideas. Must have some knowledge of plastic product design.
  • Understands part drawings, GD&T, operation sequence & method plans. Must be intermediate/proficient in Solidworks and Creo. In general, an eager learner in these fields.
  • Is aligned with Without (by Ashaya)'s vision, mission, and guiding principles.

  • Is flexible at work, and open to doing even the smallest tasks.
  • Is a learner, a doer, and a self-starter, looking to grow as an individual on a technical and personal level.
  • Someone who's willing to live in Pune, India (and commute to Bhosari, MIDC) - this is not a remote role.
  • Someone looking to start at the earliest.

You will:

  • Perform research for all new as well as existing designs and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Explore new product options with special focus on innovation in both design and function. Develop designs for product requirements while ensuring standard compliance.
  • Develop concept models as well as creating data for rapid prototype models (3D printing). Use 3D and rendering software to refine designs and create virtual models of products (and eventually their moulds).
  • Support manufacturing, injection molding and overall product development.
  • Work closely with the rest of the team in a fast-paced, energetic, start-up environment to optimize our organization to perform at its peak. This includes being open to doing the smallest of tasks, in addition to the more complex ones.
  • Be an important member at Without (by Ashaya), helping shape our next stage of growth.

Your compensation:

Taking into consideration that this is a fresher position:

  • A fair, competitive market-based compensation package.
  • Stock Options (ESOPS) in the legal entity that vests over an agreed-to tenure.
  • A 3-month mutual incubation period. Both you and we will have the option to end the agreement after three months if it isn’t working out.
  • We provide benefits such as health insurance, flexible work hours (including unmonitored vacation) and Provident Fund contributions.
  • We believe in self-management (non-hierarchical) where nobody reports to anybody, but instead, we hold each other accountable to outcomes and processes.
