What if design wasn’t just making things look good – what if it made waste, poverty, and greenwashing impossible to ignore?

At Without®, we use patented tech to turn “unrecyclable” plastic into premium materials and products – while graduating informal waste-workers into dignified, formal livelihoods. Two problems. One solution. And a brand that needs to look as sharp as the mission behind it.

We’re hiring a Graphic Designer + Creative Lead – someone with the craft to execute and the vision to direct. With AI tools collapsing the gap between idea and output, a 2-4 year designer who’s fast, fluent, and AI-native can now do what a creative team of five did three years ago. We’re betting on that person. This role starts hands-on and grows into Head of Creative as the brand scales.

Fair warning: this is not a 9-to-5. We’re a deep-tech startup in its most critical year. The pace is real, the stakes are high, and the work doesn’t always wait for Monday morning. If that excites you more than it scares you – keep reading.

The Details

Experience
  • Strong portfolio across digital, brand, and campaign assets – startup, agency, or in-house. You’ve shipped real work under real deadlines, not just concepts in a vacuum.
Tool Mastery
  • Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – editing, compositing, layout, mockups. This is your foundation.
  • Canva: Brand kits, templates, scalable workflows for the stuff that doesn’t need Photoshop.
  • AI tools: Midjourney, DALL-E, Firefly, or equivalent – for ideation, moodboards, rapid variations. You use AI to move faster, not to think less.
  • You know when to use which tool. That’s the real skill.
Bonus: Wed Design Chops
  • Experience editing and building pages on WordPress + Elementor (or similar page builders) is a strong plus. We have live websites that need regular updates, landing pages that need to ship fast, and campaigns that can’t wait for a developer. If you can go from design to published page yourself – using AI-assisted builders to move even faster – you’ll be dangerous in the best way.
Design Fundamentals
  • Layout, typography, hierarchy, spacing, colour, consistency.
  • Strong instincts for what to remove, not just what to add.
Speed + Taste
  • You can take a messy brief, a half-baked idea, or a 3am voice note and turn it into clean, on-brand output.
  • You make complex information feel simple – without dumbing it down.
  • You’re fast. Not sloppy-fast. Fluent-fast. The kind of fast that comes from caring enough to have systems.
Ownership
  • Reliable delivery. Clear communication. Version control. Clean handoffs. You don’t need to be chased.
  • When something urgent lands at 7pm, you don’t pretend you didn’t see it.
Integrity-First
  • You respect IP. No unlicensed assets. No pirated fonts. No shortcuts that compromise ethics. This matters here more than most places.

Own the Visual Identity

  • Maintain and evolve brand consistency across everything Without® ships – Made Without®, Foundation Without®, investor decks, sales collateral, social, web, everything.
  • Build reusable design systems so the whole team moves faster without losing craft.
Ship High-Quality Creatives (fast)
  • Design assets for social media, website, newsletters, ads, internal comms, presentations, product launches, and pitch materials.
  • Adapt and resize across formats without breaking hierarchy or brand feel.
  • You’ll be the person who makes the final output look like it came from a company ten times our size. Sometimes that means three deliverables in a day. Sometimes it means one perfect one by morning.
Own and Evolve Our Web Presence (bonus)
  • Update and build pages on our WordPress/Elementor sites – landing pages, campaign pages, product showcases.
  • Use AI-assisted page builders to go from brief to live page without waiting on a dev cycle.
  • If you can design it AND publish it, you skip the queue.
Use AI as a Force Multiplier (not a crutch)
  • Use AI for moodboards, ideation, style exploration, and rapid variations.
  • Ensure final outputs are polished, intentional, and never “obviously AI”.
  • Help the team understand what’s possible with AI-assisted design – you’re the bridge between what the tools can do and what the brand needs.
Collaborate Across Every Function
  • Work closely with Sales (pitch decks, outreach assets, B2B catalogues), Product and Manufacturing (packaging, product photography direction), Science (making polymer data look like something a human wants to read), and Leadership (investor materials, grant visuals, keynote presentations).
  • Sit with AI tools and the marketing lead to turn briefs into campaigns.
  • Ask the right questions. Simplify the ask. Propose a better option.
  • Multiple teams will need you at the same time. You’ll need to prioritise, push back when necessary, and still deliver.
Build Without®’s Visual Storytelling Muscle
  • Translate impact stories, field realities, and deep-tech concepts into visuals that are honest, compelling, and never exploitative.
  • Help make the invisible visible – without turning people into props.
  • Make the brand feel bold, human, and unmistakably Without®.
  • CTC: INR 8 – 12 Lakhs per year, depending on experience.

  • Stock Options (ESOPS): Vesting over an agreed tenure.

  • A 3-month mutual incubation: Mutual option to part ways if it’s not the right fit.
